Guitar Works was founded in 1983 in Lake Hiawatha, NJ. Jack Carey set up shop offering guitar repair and bass repair, as well as custom builds for solid body guitars and basses. He moved the operation to Sparta, NJ in 1994, where he’s continued to refine his repair skills and techniques, including servicing banjos and mandolins.
